This article walks you through what happens next, how onboarding works, and how to get the most from your service from day one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Your account is live immediately<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">As soon as your payment is completed:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li style=\"font-size:18px\">Your account is active<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:18px\">Your basic message script is live<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:18px\">You can start <a href=\"https:\/\/www.answerconnect.co.uk\/help-centre\/getting-started\/how-do-i-forward-my-calls-3\/\">forwarding calls<\/a> right away<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">With the default setup, we\u2019ll collect the following information from callers:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li style=\"font-size:18px\">Caller name<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:18px\">Phone number<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:18px\">Message<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">Messages are delivered to the email address on your account and are also available in the AnswerConnect desktop and mobile app.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Your AnswerConnect number<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">You\u2019ll receive a number when your account is created. This number is used as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li style=\"font-size:18px\">Your account number<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:18px\">The number you should forward calls to<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">If you need help setting up <a href=\"https:\/\/www.answerconnect.co.uk\/help-centre\/getting-started\/how-do-i-forward-my-calls-3\/\">call forwarding<\/a>, our team is happy to walk you through it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is onboarding (and why it matters)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">Onboarding is a one-on-one setup call where we tailor the service to your business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">Your service starts with a basic message template. During your onboarding call, we will customise your script to tailor how we answer and handle your calls, unlocking the full value of AnswerConnect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">During your onboarding call, we can:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li style=\"font-size:18px\">Customise your call script and greeting<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:18px\">Set up call transfers, FAQs, or appointment booking<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:18px\">Define call-handling schedules<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:18px\">Add contacts and team members<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:18px\">Connect integrations or workflows (where applicable)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">Onboarding calls typically last <strong>60 minutes<\/strong>. The majority of the setup is completed during the call, with any remaining customisations finished shortly afterward.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">A basic message-taking script can be set up in as little as five minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to book your onboarding call<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>After you sign up, our team will contact you to gather the details we need to set up your service and arrange your onboarding appointment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your onboarding call will be arranged with the appropriate team member based on your account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you haven&#8217;t heard from us or need help arranging your onboarding call, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.answerconnect.co.uk\/contact\">contact<\/a> our Client Services team<a href=\"tel:08008021039\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What to have ready for onboarding<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">To make the most of your onboarding call, it helps to have:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li style=\"font-size:18px\">Your business address and contact details<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:18px\">Preferred contact email(s)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:18px\">Names of team members or key contacts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:18px\">Call transfer schedules (if applicable)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:18px\">Up to 5 common questions callers usually ask<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">Don\u2019t worry if you don\u2019t have everything ready.
